CRY America Grants Manager – Role & Job Description
Job Description: Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Skill Set & Person Profile Preferred:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required with competency with numbers
● Minimum 3 years of non profit grants accounting or management preferred
● Experienced in setting up & managing online systems to co-ordinate grant documentation & processes
● Good oral & written communication skills, with ability to adapt writing/ reporting styles to meet specific funder needs
● Efficient Project management of multiple projects running simultaneously that involve multiple issues & teams from across multiple organizations across India & the USA
● Enjoys working with people as coordination with multiple people/ teams is required for successful management of grants
● Available for official travel for 5 days per quarter within the USA. One trip to India annually to visit select grantees, if required.
● Should be authorized to work in the United States
● An understanding of India and the cause of underprivileged children

Coordinate Grant Contracts between key parties: Funders, CRY America, CRY India & Individual Projects in India & the USA

Project plans, budgets & review reports:
● Coordinates program & financial evaluation and monitoring reports for all Projects on a half yearly basis
● Ensures financial utilization statements from Projects on a half yearly and annual basis
● Identify and reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing Project accounts information

Maintains master files on all Grants
● Monitors & maintains paperwork connected with all project grants
● Coordinates the life cycle of Project grants to stay abreast of deadlines
● Quarterly written summary report of overall grant activity, including summary grant reports for the CRY America Board regarding the progress of the grant.

Grant Disbursals & Statutory Requirements
● Ensure grant disbursals as per requirements and maintain disbursal status reports, including creating and improving systems to track the grantmaking.
● Coordination with the Bank on dispatch & receipt of funds by Projects
● Conduct half-yearly reconciliations on approved budget vs disbursed grants vs utilization with the Accounts Department.
● Preparation of Trustee notes and Board Resolutions for CRY America Board approvals of all India and USA grants on an annual basis
● Provide Year end Grant review data for Federal Filings
● Work closely with the Accountant to ensure Project financials and grant numbers are accurately entered into CRY America’s books of accounts.
● Understands and recommends financial legal compliance requirements [USA and India] for domestic & international grants by studying existing and new legislation, and advising management on needed actions.

Interdepartmental Coordination on Grants
● Coordinate regular cross-department/ organization meetings to check in on project progress and grant deliverables, especially with the CRY Kolkata Grant Consultants
● Share Project impact information with fundraisers and relevant staff

This is a full-time, remote, contract position for a fixed period from July 2023 till June 2024 based out of New Jersey or New York. Salary within the range $45,000 to $50,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
