With ongoing counselling from the PORD team, she returned to school, excelled academically & later earned an engineering degree. Today, she’s employed at a reputed company & inspires many girls like her.

At the CRY Galas 2025 across the USA, Legendary actor Shabana Azmi appealed to the guests to do “our duty as a society to support organizations like CRY that work at the grassroots with projects that make transformative changes in the lives of children”.

India Giving Day
CRY America, one of the core members of India Philanthropy Alliance, participated in India Giving Day on March 14, 2025. India Giving Day, is one of the key campaigns run by the Alliance that aims at increasing social impact in India & strengthening the culture of giving among the Indian diaspora. Together we raised over $6000 for CRY America’s mission to ensure that underprivileged children complete their education, get proper nutrition, have access to quality healthcare and stay protected from child labour and child marriage.
India Giving Day is an annual and growing collaboration between over 30 US non profits and is a powerful example of what is possible when we all get together and #ActforImpact. We at CRY America will be back again next year and will strive to increase our impact through peer-to-peer fundraising.
