CRY Dandiya and Garba 2023 was held in 3 cities and raised $150,000

The CRY San Diego team organized their annual Dandiya event on October 21 at the California Center for the Arts. The event was a completely sold out event with over 1100 tickets sold. The participants enjoyed dressing up in their colorful Dandiya outfits and dancing to the lively music. The event had a DJ as well as live music along with delicious Indian food & multiple vendor stalls . A big Thank You to our volunteers for all their hard work in making this a successful event.

The CRY Seattle’s Dandiya event spanning 4 nights on Oct 6, 7, 13 & 14 was a smashing success with over 5000 attendees.  DJ Parry (Paresh) played garba/dandiya and Bollywood music all the nights, along with the Emcee to keep the crowd entertained. The participants were also offered dance lessons before the event.  There were prizes for best dancers, best dressed & a 5 min performance on most days which the audience appreciated. The participants enjoyed the food stalls & the 3 sets of photobooths. A big Thank you to all our event sponsors for their support, our wonderful Seattle volunteers & our young student volunteers who helped make this a successful event.

The CRY San Antonio team hosted a Garba event on October 20th at the St. George Maronite Center. The event was a great success with over 700 participants. The event had live music with professional singers, delicious food items and various vendor stalls. The entire dance event was presented on a huge LED wall. The event had people dress up in beautiful outfits to win the best dress competition. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants and raised funds for children across CRY America Projects.
