Position Overview
The Philanthropy Manager (Texas) will lead Child Rights and You America’s regional efforts to meet and exceed fundraising goals, with a focus on major donor engagement, event management, and partnership development. This role is instrumental in expanding CRY America’s impact by building relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), foundations, and corporations in Texas. You will also work closely with CRY leadership to enhance the organization’s visibility and reach. The position is remote, and travel is required as needed for events and donor meetings in Texas and occasionally for national events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
● Fundraising Strategy & Implementation: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet regional goals, focusing on major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
● Event Management: Organize and manage high-profile events such as CRY Galas in Houston, Austin, and Dallas to enhance brand visibility and raise funds.
● Donor Relationship Management: Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, increasing retention and engagement through personalized communications, meetings, and strategic outreach.
● Grant Writing & Reporting: Prepare compelling grant proposals and reports for HNIs, foundations, and corporate donors in key Texas cities.
● Media & Public Relations: Establish and manage media partnerships to promote Child Rights and You America’s mission, events, and impact.
● Networking & attending key community events to build the brand & acquire new donors.
● Identify Speaker opportunities to showcase CRY America’s work & acquire new donors.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
3 plus years of experience in nonprofit fundraising preferred, with a focus on major gift cultivation and event management.
● Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with donors.
● Proficiency in donor tracking and engagement tools and software.
● Must be authorized to work in the United States

● Strong strategic thinking to align donor interests with the organization’s mission and create personalized engagement plans.
Ethical and trustworthy, ensuring transparency and integrity in donor relations.
● Strong networking and interpersonal skills to expand the donor base and foster connections within the philanthropic community.
● Effective problem-solving abilities, adaptable to evolving donor relationships and needs.
● Ability and willingness to work on evenings and weekends and travel frequently across Texas as required (ability to drive long distances and fly as needed).

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 – $64,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Health Insurance: Up to $6,000 annually.
Paid Time Off: 15 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 days of sick leave for every 12 months worked.
