CRY Bay Area Gala was successfully held on May 4 at Villa Ragusa bringing together commitment and celebration for children’s rights among 110 guests. The evening included a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, donor appreciation, pledge session, bollywood music and dancing and a performance by stand-up comedian Abhay Paranjape. Legendary Bollywood Celebrity Shabana Azmi appealed to the guests to support CRY America that works with projects to make transformative changes in the lives of children. Project Partner Lalitamma spoke about her Project PORD’s impact in Telangana. Guest Speaker, MR Rangaswami, founder of Indiaspora, spoke eloquently about the importance of giving and how generosity can help turn children’s dreams into reality. CRY America’s Fundraising Director, Patrick Bocco shared CRY America’s impact and achievements.
