The CRY New York Gala was held on April 25 at The Taj Pierre and was attended by 120 guests. The evening included a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, donor appreciation, pledge session, bollywood music and dancing. Special guests included Legendary Bollywood Celebrity Shabana Azmi appealed to the guests to support CRY America that works with projects to make transformative changes in the lives of children. Project Partner Lalitamma spoke about her Project PORD’s impact in Telangana and CRY President, Shefali Sunderlal shared how CRY supported Projects are irreversibly transforming the lives of underprivileged children. Celebrity Guest Speaker Chef Vikas Khanna of NYC’s Bungalow gave a clarion call to the Indian diaspora to support organizations like CRY America that give children a better future.
